Visible Vials
A white piece of paper taped to the back of the bubble window on a spirit level makes the bubble easier to see in low-light conditions.
When using a spirit/bubble level in low-light conditions or if the background is dark, the bubble and vial guidelines can be difficult to see. To help make them stand out, I tape a white piece of paper to the backside of the bubble window to provide contrast. It works so well that most of my levels have white paper taped to them full-time.
