Brian Pontolilo
Brian Pontolilo has spent nearly a quarter-century as a journalist, writer, editor, and producer covering residential design and construction. Brian has a degree in professional writing and worked for a short time at local Connecticut newspapers before joining the Taunton Press in 2003. In his early working years, Brian was often employed as a novice in landscape construction, painting, and carpentry, so a position at FHB was a natural fit. In a recent hiatus from full-time employment, Brian designed and built a net-zero-energy house following the Pretty Good House philosophy. Now, at Active Interest Media, he is the editorial director for Fine Homebuilding, Greenbuildingadvisor.com, and Old House Journal.
